Love’s Anjelic Orchid
Orchid is the perfect starter animal for a new Alpaca breeder or a great addition of new blood for an established herd. Buying her as a maiden is a bargain! Her price will go up as she wins show ribbons and again when she gets bred.
This lovely little lady has strong body conformance and incredibly soft fleece showing crimp, bundling and density.
She is growing fast and will be a good sized girl with solid bones ready for breeding summer 2009.
Her sire Eros has Accoyo Peruvian bloodlines and sheared 8 lbs of fleece last year. His micron count is still below 26 even at six years of age. Her dam, Anjelica was a direct import through Bolivia. She has a calm, solid and reliable temperament and looks after her cria well.
Orchid's maternal half brother, Gabriel, took a second place ribbon at the Denver Level V halter show, as well as a blue ribbon at the Monteray Pronk Fleece Show (so far!). This little lady's fleece looks just like his and she could be a show winner too!
Our daughter Zarah has been halter training Orchid and she is coming along very nicely, walking well on a lead. She has a sweet calm temperment and once you catch her she is quite easy to handle and work with. Best of all her fleece just seems to get better every day. Buy her quick before I change my mind about selling her!
